Nina Simone fala sobre liberdade

Vi esse vídeo na página do Facebook de um amigo. O repórter perguntou a Nina Simone o que significa ser livre para ela, que canta uma música intitulada “I Wish I Knew How It Feels To Be Free”. Meu amigo comentou que, só de cantar essa bela canção, Nina já é livre. Depois de ouvir a curta entrevista, só posso concordar com ele.

“Freedom is just a feeling. How do you tell anybody who have not been in love how it feels to be in love? You cannot do it. You can describe things, but you can’t tell them. But you KNOW when it happens. That’s what I mean by free. And I tell you what freedom is to me: no fear! If I could have that half of my life… no fear! That’s the only way I can describe it.” Nina Simone
